Regional Citizen Summits bring together lake and river organizations for a morning, afternoon or evening of sharing ideas and learning from experts in water resources and organizational development.
These gatherings provide the peer networking opportunities that are so essential for building collaborative partnerships with other citizen leaders and water resource professionals in your region.
Summits are funded in part through grants from the Bush Foundation and the McKnight Foundation. Additional funding is often provided by Watershed Districts or other foundations along with in-kind support regional businesses or other non-profits.
"What I found most valuable about the citizen summit was the interactions with other lake associations and the wealth of expertise that MN waters brought to the session for us to learn from."
