RiverNight 2009 and Annual Awards Ceremony

RiverNight is an annual celebration of our unique and beautiful Minnesota waterscape, hosted by the only statewide group dedicated to empowering citizens to protect and improve our lakes and rivers.

The evening began with a ceremony honoring those who exemplify the power and effectiveness of grassroots action: The Lake Association of the Year, the Citizen Water Monitoring Group of the Year, the River-Friendly Community of the Year, and the Volunteer of the Year. After the awards ceremony, attendees boarded the Betsey Northrup historic riverboat for a cruise down the Mississippi featuring fine wine, beer, cocktails, and substantial hors d'oeuvres.
