Mandatory! Lake Service Provider AIS Training & Permits

Minnesota Waters has partnered with the MN Department of Natural Resources to provide mandatory Aquatic Invasive Species training for Lake Service Providers. Multiple training sessions for the business permit holders are now scheduled around Minnesota from the end of January through March 2012.  Pre-registration is not available at this time.

New Application Strategies for Using Alum to Tackle Lakes Impaired by Excess Phosphorus

Minnesota Waters 2.0 Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Prevention Position and 2012 Work Plan

Minnesota Waters has received a groundswell of support for strong AIS advocacy and actions, which are helping guide program development for Minnesota Waters 2.0. Based on Minnesota Waters' 2009 Position Paper, "AIS in Minnesota's Waters - An Aquademic", Minnesota Waters' 2.0 2011 position statement outlines the key statewide strategies needed for an effective AIS prevention system across Minnesota. The position statement explains that Minnesota Waters believes:

Minnesota Waters can host your lake association or river group’s website for only $100 per year. Current membership is required.  Over 80 member groups already subscribe to this service, and their web sites range from one simple page of contact information and meeting dates, to many levels and pages of information, photos, archives and event data.
