How to find Monitoring Data

How can I find data on my lake?

There are two main sources of historical water quality data for Becker Lakes.   RMB labs,  which does most of the analysis of water quality for COLA lakes,  maintains a website on which historic data,  including data collected by Brainerd’s AW Lab which did the COLA lab analysis prior to 2000.   The site provides data in tabular or graphic formats,  and for single or multiple lakes.    See www.rmbel.info.   (http://rmbel.info/Reports/ReportsQuery.aspx  goes directly to the data site.)

The Citizen’s Lake Monitoring Program,  sponsored by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency,  is a repository for secchi and other water quality information.  Go to www.pca.state.mn.us and go to CLMP,  or use the following link:   http://www.pca.state.mn.us/water/clmp/clmpSearch.cfm

The Lake Finder service of the Minnesota DNR provides a wide range of general data on lakes,  including maps, fish-stocking,  impairment status,  and links to water quality data described above.   See www.dnr.state.mn.us  and go to the Lake-Finder page  (or use the following link—http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/lakefind/index.html)
