This training course is online and will take one to one and half hours to complete.
Upon completion of the online training a certificate will be generated with your name on it. You will need to print the certificate and keep in your possession at all times when working in waters of the state. You may keep it in your wallet, place it in a plastic cover available for luggage tags and attach it to your work gear, buy a lamination sticker from an office supply store, have it laminated, or another process that makes it easy for you to keep it protected and in your possession when working. You may print out as many copies as you'd like.
Your training certificate is good for three calendar years. If you take the training in 2012, then your certificate is good for 2012, 2013, and 2014. In 2015, you would need to take the training again and obtain a new certificate.
Your training certificate travels with you between employers. Even if you work for multiple lake service providers, you still only need to do this training once every three years.
