Crosby Lake Management Plan Informational Meeting
Minnesota Waters Partners with the Capitol Region Watershed District
Molly Zins and Alex Gehrig recently met with staff from the Capitol Region Watershed District (CRWD) as well as partners from Wenck Associates Inc. to discuss the creation of a lake management plan for Crosby Lake, located on the flood plain of the Mississippi River in Saint Paul, MN. The lake is part of the National Park Service’s Mississippi National River and Recreation Area and while its water quality is considered fair, it is heavily impacted by the high level of urbanization in the local watershed.
Minnesota Waters is spearheading the effort to engage the local citizenry in the formulation of the lake management plan by conducting outreach and maximizing participation in the plan’s Citizen Advisory Group. The first informational meeting is to be held on September 29th at Highland Park Senior High School at 7:00 pm. Please contact Alex with any questions or if you are interested in participating in the Citizen Advisory Group.
