2010 Minnesota-Wisconsin Invasive Species Conference

The Minnesota-Wisconsin conference on invasive species (MNWIISC) is being held on November 8-10th in St. Paul, MN,.  The purpose of the Conference is to exchange information on invasive species topics in the interest of minimizing the impacts of terrestrial and aquatic invasive species. Presentations by experts in their respective fields will cover new and innovative research, outreach programs, technological developments related to ecology and impacts, prevention, containment, early detection, rapid response, control and management, as well as eradication and restoration. Topics will cover both aquatic and terrestrial invasive species.

Minnesota Waters will be at the Conference to get out the message about opportunities for citizens to become involved in AIS prevention and management. Minnesota Waters will be co-presenting on Lake Service Provider trainings,  hosting a booth at the conference, and providing information on AIS programs that will be available in Spring of 2011.
